Sarah is a Pathology Collector at Clinical Labs and works alone at a local clinic. She treats many members of the general public and dealing with their anxieties surrounding needles can often place her in a very vulnerable situation.
She has no other support other than that of her MePACS lone worker duress alarm.
Sarah recalls a particular emergency situation, when a patient she sees on a regular basis became agitated.

“I was concerned for the other patients in the room,” she said.
“When I pressed my MePACS alarm, it de-escalated the situation and the patient ran out of the building, then I locked the door to keep ourselves safe.”
“Having pressed my MePACS alarm, it gave me reassurance to know that I could come back into work the next day.”
Sarah is thankful that MePACS were able to help her with a quick response and professional service.
