Our story
Empowering Independence Since 1989
Originally called the Mt Eliza Personal Alarm Care Service, MePACS was founded in 1989 and was only available to 30 people as a Victorian government-funded service, now known as Personal Alert Victoria (PAV).
With a growing need in the community, more funding was allocated to PAV and by 1994, MePACS was supporting 2,000 Victorian clients.
In 2016, MePACS became a national service. Our client base has continued to grow and we are now supporting more than 47,000 clients across Australia.
In October 2024, we proudly celebrated our 35th anniversary. For over three decades, our service has brought peace of mind and empowered thousands of Australians to live with confidence and independence.
