“MePACS Duress Alarms have made our staff feel safer working within the community.” – Northern Health

“We use the MePACS Duress Alarms for staff who work within community settings, and also for staff working with a range of clientele within our service centres.

We chose MePACS to provide us with a solution for duress alarms as they have been working within the personal safety alarm space for quite some time and have worked with other Health Services providing a tried and tested model.

MePACS came out to present their duress alarm product to us face-to-face, and once we decided to purchase they provided face-to-face training sessions and were flexible in their approach to the roll out of the alarms throughout the entire organisation.

The alarms are easy to use, and we like that they can be used as a shared alarm within a team as our programs required this flexibility.

The training for the alarms was very thorough, and our staff feel well informed on how to use the alarm and feel that they are able to use the alarm in a true emergency situation if required. In addition to the face-to-face training provided, we were provided with a PowerPoint package to supplement our existing training, as well as a “How to Video” that we can use in sessions, and place on our intranet for staff to access.

The provision of alarms throughout Northern Health has made our staff feel safer working within the community and the responses from the MePACS response centre have been great.

MePACS is available when we need them; they continue to assist with any queries we have, and attend to issues and alarm queries with a very quick response time and provide regular reporting to help us evaluate the service.” – Melissa Houston, Northern Health.
