Faces of MePACS: Relieving Team Leader – Cara-Jo

MePACS Team | Faces of MePACS

Cara-Jo is a Relieving Team Leader at MePACS. With her excellent attention to detail and efficiency, she is reliable and ready to help our 24/7 emergency response monitors at a moment’s notice.

“Our most important role is making sure clients receive medical assistance or help from their family as soon as possible. As a team leader, I help ensure the smooth running of the monitoring room and coordinate different tasks across our morning, afternoon and overnight shifts.”

Before MePACS, Cara-Jo worked for several years for a phone and web conferencing company conducting online events. Her background in customer service means she can provide the same exceptional care to every one of our clients in need.

“I really enjoy working close to home for an organisation that has been helping the vulnerable people in our community and around the country for 30 years.”

“It’s great to know that MePACS assists people to live independently at home for longer. All of our clients are very grateful for the service they receive from us.”

This year, the team have worked through many challenges, including helping clients who have evacuated from the devastating bushfires to those who are socially isolated during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We have been impacted by two major events in 2020. Regardless of the difficulties we face, our team and clients always work really well together.”

Since the onset of the pandemic, the monitoring team have been making additional calls to check on our clients’ welfare – many of whom live alone, or do not have family and friends nearby.

“We’ve made sure clients have access to food and groceries, while checking their alarms are in good working order. A simple welfare check from MePACS gives many clients the assurance they need during this time.”

In her spare time, Cara-Jo loves being outdoors and keeping active.

“I enjoy growing vegetables and roses in my garden. I like horse riding, water skiing and spending quality time with my friends, family and pets.”

Thank you Cara-Jo, for ensuring our clients feel safe and secure with MePACS; at home and away.
