Home Care Support extended for Senior Australians

Alayna Hansen | Latest Industry News , MePACS News

In light of continuing self-isolation due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Minister for Aged Care and Senior Australians Richard Colbeck has extended the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) to include monitored personal alarm services, such as MePACS.

Senator Colbeck issued a recent press release in response to the need for extra support and care for Older Australians.

Those who receive CHSP funding or have a Home Care Package are now able to use unspent 2019‑20 funding to purchase a personal alarm that is monitored by a 24/7 emergency response service. This spending is limited to $1,000.

MePACS Personal Alarms offers safety and security with our 24/7 emergency response service, available at any time of the day or night.

Our monitoring service is included within the government’s recommended budget for a monitored personal alarm service:

– $30 monthly monitoring fee for 12 months AND

– $140 professional installation of alarm (optional) OR

– $29 postage for self-installation

MePACS is an essential service giving clients and carers the peace of mind that they deserve.

Our team of trained professionals are guaranteed to answer a signal for help within two minutes, assess the situation and call for the most appropriate help; whether it be a family member or ambulance.

MePACS not only meets Australian standards for personal monitoring technology (AS 4607 personal response systems) but are one of Australia’s most reviewed alarm services – receiving 5 stars from over 300 reviews for our high level of customer support and efficiency.

A monitored personal alarm service is important for older Australians during this current situation, where support from informal carers and family is restricted.

MePACS can help you to feel reassured, confident and safe, living alone in your own home.
