Meet Elliot, a valued member of the workshop department at MePACS! With his extensive experience and dedication, Elliot plays a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our home alarm systems.
Elliot has been an essential member of the MePACS team for about three years, focusing on maintaining and programming home alarms. His role involves cleaning, reprogramming, updating firmware and thoroughly testing new or returned alarms before they are dispatched for installation.
Before joining MePACS, Elliot spent seven years repairing white goods and, prior to that, worked as an electrician in England.
The consistency of his role at MePACS suits his preference for structured work and while maintenance tasks can be repetitive, it’s the people at MePACS that keep him engaged and motivated.
“I really enjoy the team at MePACS. The people are great – the people I work with and people I work for,” Elliot shares.
Outside of work, Elliot enjoys simulated car racing, going for walks and fixing up cars.
“I also enjoy gardening and handyman work, and I have a couple of cats that are the bane of my life,” he laughs.
Elliot’s role can often be underestimated. Many don’t realise the extensive process behind maintaining and reprogramming returned alarms, including battery replacements, firmware updates and rigorous testing before they’re ready to go back out into the field. It’s all part of our commitment to quality and ensuring reliability for our clients.
Originally from England, Elliot moved to Australia for his wife, who is Australian. He enjoys the weather and finds Melbourne to be a pleasant mix of London’s vibe with a warmer climate.
“I like Melbourne because it is kind of like London, just 10 degrees warmer,” he muses.
Though he misses his friends and family, Elliot is grateful for the wonderful people he’s met in Australia.
Elliot works closely with a team of five, with a combination of technical roles and dispatch support, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently at MePACS.
Elliot’s expertise and commitment make him a pivotal member of the MePACS team. From his technical skills to his dedication, he is a reassuring presence in the workshop. We’re proud to have Elliot with us and look forward to the continued excellence he brings to our operations.
