Libbie is 73 years of age and lives by herself at home in Melbourne.
Libbie had a heart attack at the age of 63 and takes a number of medications. I also suffer from migraines, arthritis and asthma and have frequent dizzy spells so I’m at risk of falling over.
“I loved that I didn’t need to have a landline phone to have the MePACS service”
Libbie signed up to MePACS in May 2017 as she found it was available to her from her local council. “I also knew about MePACS as it saved my 93 year old aunts life. I knew it was the right alarm for me as I live alone and have little contact with family during the weekdays. I also loved the fact that I didn’t need to have a landline phone to have the MePACS service”, said Elisabeth.
Libbie has great confidence in the MePACS response alarm service. “It’s a fantastic service. I’m a heart patient and I live alone, my daughter and granddaughters work during the week and they live far away. I don’t want to worry my family and having the MePACS service gives us all reassurance and peace of mind that if I need help, all I need to do is press my MePACS Alarm and you will answer quickly.
“The MePACS alarm is a brilliant invention and it makes me feel so confident whilst I’m at home and in my garden”
Fortunately Libbie hasn’t needed to press her MePACS safety alarm for an emergency, but she knows that if she needs help she will not hesitate to press for help. “I wouldn’t hesitate to press my alarm should I need emergency help, after all that’s what it’s there for. The MePACS alarm is a brilliant invention and it makes me feel so confident whilst I’m at home and in my garden.
My family are quite relieved that I have the safety net of the MePACS Alarm. It means my daughter doesn’t have to worry about me as much I can continue to live with greater confidence that if I need help MePACS are only a press of a button away.
I definitely feel I can rely on the MePACS 24/7 response service. I have accidently pressed my alarm on a few occasions and the MePACS response staff have been so quick to respond to me. The staff are so lovely, they must be very well trained.
I would absolutely recommend MePACS to anyone who is elderly and lives alone.” – Libbie, Melbourne.
